We are all consumers of health care. We all have the power to make systemic changes for the purposes of improving the quality of the health care we receive. CPS believes that making educated health care decisions depends on the consumer’s ability to access information about their health care providers and care facilities. Consumers deserve straightforward access to information pertaining to the health care they receive.

CPS members advocate for patient safety in the justice system, in the health care system, and in the community. We advocate for patient safety by making creative and practical changes to the health care system.

Many of CPS’s members work in their professional lives to support patient’s rights. Our alliance between and within diverse communities united in a common purpose builds bridges between doctors, insurers, business owners, and health care consumers to improve the health care system. For victims, CPS cultivates a safe environment of support and care where concerns can be shared and social change can be nurtured.

CPS provides important information and resources to enable consumers to better navigate our health care and justice systems. Knowing we have options and the capacity to make informed decisions grants us the agency to make decisions improving our quality of health care.
