CPS Patient Safety Legislation

Colorado State Capitol Building
For the past several years, Citizens for Patient Safety (formerly Colorado Citizens for Accountability) and its supporters have played a key role in helping to pass patient safety legislation that provides greater protections to consumers with regard to their health care. The following bills have been passed by the Colorado legislature and are currenly in effect.

This important bill increases the amount of disclosures on the Board of Medical Examiner’s website and makes searches more consumer friendly. If you live in Colorado, you can research the background of local physicians by visiting the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies website.
